Just received this piece written by Brian Clough. Not only does he DJ the American Connection country radio show in the UK who graciously gave me album of the week, he ia also a columnist for one of the biggest regional newspapers in the North of England

On the 7th of April the North Shore times printed a small story, helping me get some publicity on my music.

I may not be able to see it. But, when you are a country artist who contacts a mainstream radio stations country show and receive a response of: we are not sure where you would fit - leaves me to ponder what kind of support there is here in New Zealand for local artists.
This got me interacting with stations more over the past few days, noting that local well known artists are not even played on mainstream radio here. Is there a stigma in NZ where they do not wish to support their own? This is very sad and then sees talent leave New Zealand and be recognized elsewhere.
If this didn't happen NZ would garner more respect musically. So much talent has left this country due to this lack of, is it lack of acceptance, recognition, I don't know what to call it - ignorance maybe???

Hi everyone I'm just letting everyone know that I'm not taking any negativity from people anymore. I have had someone tell me to put fuller harmonies in my songs. Look I appreciate input but I feel I have created "my sound" and people are liking it. So when I respond and say this and state doing too much would make the song too busy and the person replies: they already are. To me that is being negative and picky. This person has been blocked from my Facebook and artist page. Hope everyone understands what I'm saying. Thank you
Are there any coincidences in life. After just speaking to a radio DJ about music videos, to have a friend on my Facebook page message about how he has a friend who does music videos. Now in saying that, I don't have thousands to spend. Hopefully there will be some give seeing as it's through a mate.
